Things I Liked about the movie:
*The characters were interesting and not overplayed like their sex scenes.
*The production values and visuals were great
*The storyline was decent and had a positive message about love and sex not necessarily going hand-in-hand
*Beautiful costumes and production sets
*The crazy, campy comedy and humour

Things I Disliked about the movie:
*Dreadfully violent and most of the simulated sex scenes went on for too long (that was unnecessary)
*Nudity was OK, but too much female nudity and not enough male nudity
*That poor Buddhist monk! That seduction scene was funny but so wrong and so tragic at the same time
*Somewhat inconsistent, starting off as romantic comedy and ending up as an action crime drama

Overall I really like the movie but I grimaced and cringed through some scenes.

I pretty much agree with you. Also the torture scenes didn't really appeal to me. I'm also a bit disappointed that Hara Saori's character didn't get more screentime, considering that I'm a fan of hers.

Then again, when she does come on screen she's in two of the most memorable sex scenes; "make love for 1 day and 1 night" scene and "monk gets raped" scene :)
