Am I the only one who wanted them to end up together? I felt like they had some feelings for each other in season 1 that they weren't addressing. No matter how much Zamira came around in season 2, I didn't want Kuru to end up with her. I am so sad it's over. I literally just finished watching season 2 and I wish there was more :(
sharei think they shoukd of done a season 3 of this show. i foubd it on netflix and i loved it and yes i thought kuru and alex should of been together since he kissed her when she was a frog and it turned her back. omar said true loves kiss..kuru was her true love
shareI'm another adult who really enjoys this show! My daughter discovered it on Netflix a few weeks ago. My opinion (as of episode 4 of season 2) is that it makes sense that Kuru and Alex aren't together, given their personalities (although I think he's adorable ).
Kuru is a very follow-the-rules, do the right thing kind of guy. Alex is a bit of a rebel, and so the guys she is attracted to are a little on the rebel side, too (which is why she liked Caleb almost immediately). I think that as much as Alex loves Kuru as a friend and finds him attractive, she's probably afraid that being with him would be a little stifling.
As for the frog kiss - at the time, Kuru was in love with Alex. His love was enough to make the spell work, even if she didn't quite reciprocate it. But by the 2nd season, he had heard Alex say enough times, "We're just friends," and Omar tell him enough times that his feelings for Alex were inappropriate, that he had pulled back. That left him open enough emotionally to fall for someone else.
I'd have to agree with this. As much as I wanted Alex to take a bigger role in her kingdom it seems that she just wants to live her normal Earth life. If she were to end up with Kuru, who would like her to take on more responsibilities, I feel she would be stifled.
