Hes says something to the extent of "this is all I can do right now" when he is driving around selling health insurance.

Why doesn't he go to another part of the country where people are more tolerant (up here in MA) and simply settle down doing what he does best (preaching?)

Or simply downsize, sell his 800K house, buy a 300K one, and get some sort of councling job out there?

He says "thats the only job he can get"?

Everybody knows who he is...it would be very difficult
for him to get a job anywhere. The poor guy was out
placing flyers on doorknobs.

He can get a job driving a taxi if he wanted to, or home depot, or wherever. Who cares if everyone knows who he is? And come to the northeast where not that many people are gonna recognize him either way.
