Exactly WHO exiled him?

I don't understand the terms of his "exile". How can a CHURCH banish a person from living in a STATE?

Was there a court order prohibiting him from living in the state of Colorado? Could he be arrested if he sets up residency in that state? I seriously doubt it.

Who has the authority to ban a person from living in a particular state?

And how can he be prohibited from "the ministry"??? It's not as if you need to carry a license to preach. He could stand on a street corner and spout the gospel if he wanted to.

He signed a severence package with the church. The deal included that he has to leave, etc. Of course he could come and not be arrested, but then the church may have grounds on suing him.
