I liked it

I think it's pretty good, not great but enjoyable. It has plenty of good moments, certainly more than you see in the trailer. Saoirse Ronan and Sam Rockwell are very good as is everyone else. I think the story is clever, at least it works for me, and I'd describe it as a bit of a knowing farce. And it all looks very nice - I suspect they made good use of the 'actual' locations or something very similar.

Glad to hear it. Haven't seen any trailers, but the premise sounds good and I really like Sam Rockwell. Plan on seeing it this weekend.

Is it different from the play?

reply

The Mousetrap? I've not seen it so I don't know.
Watching the film it seemed like something derived from a play but apparently it wasn't - so I guess it was just written and structured to look that way.

No. "See How They Run"

Googled - found a 1940s play of the same name. Totally unrelated.

Wow you are right. It was about Mousetrap
