Sleep Inducing.

While the visuals are absolutely STUNNING in hi-def, the tone of Baldwin's narration is long and monotonous. I tried getting through the dvd a few times. Every time I fell into the deepest, deepest sleep, almost trance like. This is very calming, relaxing stuff. Unfortunately, I don't think that's what the producers were shooting for. All in all, I did like what I saw. And I did get some good sleep out of it, so it was worth it.

I think I'll try to make a screensaver out of it.

I love this genre of educational DVD's, but I hated this one with a passion. It might be interesting to someone in 5th. grade with a short attention span. The script was annoying to the nth degree, and Alec Baldwin is a horrible narrator, almost as bad as Sigourney Weaver.

Agreed. Hated the way it focused on "danger".

Has anyone come up with a better soundtrack for this? Sort of a "Dark Side of the Moon overtop Wizard of Oz" sort of thing.

I had to keep both eyes pried open with my forefingers of each hand.

I think its an absolute gem for any one who can't get to sleep. It's the best thing I've ever come across to use as a soporific.

No, if I made a screensaver out of it I'd never stay awake long enough to get any work done...
