super huge plot hole!!!!

the kids said their dad went to jail, wouldnt protective services step right in ???

reply

I know. That is a pretty obvious one but I dont think the show is trying to be realistic.

reply

Exactly. Is it realistic to have a teacher as excellent, and torrid as Maggie. No but that's the beauty of tv shows, movies, comic books, and other entertainment medias they don't to be set in the real world.

reply

No because they think they are living with their mom. They didn't know she left. I'm assuming?

reply

The kids came to town from another town in another state. (that's what I got anyway) They ran away from protective services and that's why they need the fake dad, because while people will look for 'three kids with no dad' they won't be so fast to find 'three kids with a dad'

Plot holes? You want to talk about plot holes? This show is preceded by 90 minutes of primetime cartoons. haha

reply

Yeah, but that kind of gets us prepared. Don't get me wrong, this is my (one of many) guilty pleasure show, but it is ridiculous. I think it won't last long without some better writing. The dialogue would be acceptable with a better continuing plot, and vice-versa.

Wow are you really that simple?

Clearly their father must have tipped them off that he was going down and told them to get the heck out of dodge to wait for him. Clearly if they know how long he is supposed to be gone for they have talked to him about the possibility or after his arrest he called them.

They obviously had a plan worked out ahead of time if they knew which "other house" to go to. One that was off the books.
