Series Location Taping

Hey that was cool today, I came out of my bus and entering my college I saw the whole production of Sons of Tucson. It was pretty big, there were here taping the fith episode for the first season. Around 160 people walking around. I tried to check it out and maybe to see 'reese' =) but at the end of the taping i just saw him coming out of the taping location. So it was pretty nice done, today. Pretty cool team.

Location was: College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA.
Here they are also taping the show in the Valencia Studios, same as NCIS and other series.

It was pretty cool...
Okay bb

Guess that answers why I haven't seen them around here (Tucson). Thanks. :)

It's just like Medium, which is supposed to take place here (Phoenix), but is obviously filmed in and around LA. Dissapointing

L: I'm talking about a little place called Aspen
H: I don't know Lloyd, the french are a ssholes

Definitely wasn't shot in Tucson. There are few trees in Tucson... only cactus and shrubs. Awful. Why even say it's in Tucson if you are going to shoot it elsewhere?

In other words, you've never been to Tucson. Or Arizona.

lived there for almost 6 years. in sabino canyon. seen almost every corner of the city. no trees like the one in the show, much less green.

wanna get into a little trivia contest about tucson? your turn, pal.

Cactus and shrubs? What city are you thinking of? There are trees everywhere you go in Tucson. There's a ski resort on top of Mt. Lemmon, just north of Tucson. You'd have to be far, far out in the middle of nowhere to find only cactus and shrubs.

yeah and it takes you almost an hour to drive up the road to get to an elevation to where you start seeing trees. whats left of them anyway, after the fire.

seriously, you see a lot of trees like the one in the show around metro tucson?

besides the imported palms and others near downtown and the university...

this show looked way more like southern california than tucson

EDIT: oh, what do you know...

Berfield said Tucson is a place that Hollywood hasn’t really explored. The nine “Sons of Tucson” writers have a map of Tucson and try to incorporate real street names in the show, he said.
The show is filmed in Santa Clarita, Calif., but Berfield would like to film episodes in Tucson if Fox picks up the show for another season.
“For economic reasons, we cannot film the show in Tucson,” Berfield said.

i lived there for 6 years too, there really are no trees in tucson, cept around the park areas, like where the zoo is across from el con mall, and then the other park. There is a bunch of palo verde trees all over, but there aren't those huge oak type trees you see everywhere on the show.

reply

I lived there for nearly ten years. The most common tree is the palo verde which resembles a bush anyway. It's a spindly little tree. Palm trees are prevalent, but those are weeds. The only time you see an abundance of trees in Tucson is when someone is wasting water.

I knew it wasn't Tucson when I saw all the green lawns in the new development. It's true that there's a lot of cacti and rocks and desert-y things, but that's because we acknowledge that we live in a desert. Of course we're running out of water still...
