DNA out of rape victim didnt match Timo's DNA ..dumb movie

*SPOILERS*

Either the director didn't watch his own flick before putting it in theaters 'or' he thought he could play on our intelligence.

First of all, the 1st victim was raped and the murderer's DNA didnt match w/ the suicide victim. Secondly, what about the DNA on the bikes?? And, even if dude wiped the bikes clean, Timo's wife or boss would have verified where he was at the time of the 2nd murder. Most importantly, even lame cops would have instantly notice Timo's last known 1986 address in that town was the same as one of their suspects who owned a red car. After that, the pregnant female cop would have recognized that both, the DVD case in Timo's property and the ones at the residence of her last interview, were identical. Movie had potential but like most now days ..the ending is weak!

As to first victim, I believe they took pains to say that Pia's body had been in the water too long for DNA samples (I have no idea whether that is scientifically accurate, but the writer made an effort to explain). And didn't he load Pia's bike in the car as well? No idea about the second victim's bike.

reply

Pretty sure he tossed the first bike in the field...that is kinda how they found the murder site...plus the earphones...yeah in fact remember the recreation model...it has that little red? bike placed in situ.

it seems to me that the movie wants us to see that the detectives, other than David, just wants to close the case. so this is not an overlook by the director, but by the characters themselves.

How come signatures aren't cursive anymore

reply

Why would his address be the same as the owner of the red car? I don't believe they lived together.
As for the dvd cases, they looked to be plain white, with nothing on the outside. Not exactly something that one could draw a conclusion about.

reply

This entire complaint rests on the idea that the movie's characters never fully solve the crime, but the movie ends before we can know this is true. The ending isn't definitive.

You're an idiot lol

If you were paying attention you would have heard the one detective say the 2nd victim wasn't raped and they found Timo's DNA match to the headphones from the case in 1986. They wanted the case closed due to bureaucracies and public image due to it still being an open/related case from the one from 1986....Man some of the people on this board are stupid lol Don't criticize a good movie cause you're too dumb to get it
