How much of Schmeling's life will it encompass?

Will it focus on his Joe Louis fights, or will it go on to show WW2 and his involvement with Coca Cola?

reply

It will cover about 14 years, starting some years before WW II and ending with Schmeling's final fight against Richard Vogt in 1948.
That's what Uwe Boll stated in this interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdTq6CeKuBg, starting around 5:50 (unfortunately in German, with no English subtitles).

The film will be a non-linear timeline of Max Schmeling's life which starts in May 1941 during his military service to the German Army during the invasion of Crete. It will then display Schmeling's most famous boxing matches which include:

The match between Schmeling and Ray Sharkey in New York City on June 12, 1930.

The match between Schmeling and Heller in Berlin on August 2, 1930.

The match between Schmeling and Young Striebling in Cleveland on July 3, 1931.

The re-match between Schmeling and Sharkey again on Long Island on June 21, 1932.

The match between Schmeling and Joe Louis in New York on June 19, 1936.

The re-match between Schmeling and Louis again in New York on June 22, 1938.

During Schmeling's brief return to boxing it will feature:

The match between Schmeling and Hans-Joachin Dragest in Kiel on October 2, 1948

Schmeling's final boxing match against Richard Vogt in West Berlin on October 31, 1948.
