Greenwich Odeon had big problems with the sound. Really annoying. Ruined it.

reply

Good wasn't it! My cinema (Kingston Odeon) was probably 75% full which is damned good for a tuesday.

Best bit was the continuing abuse of Bruce's flying by the passengers..."You're sh*t and you know you are". Everytime that happened it made us laugh.

reply

It wasn't Bruce's flying they were heckling, it was the no smoking signs being lit.

reply

It wasn't either of those they were heckling, it was every time the stewardess tripped over her words reciting the pre-flight instructions.

Still funny though, Nicko is the man.

plymouth Vue sold out. Dolby 6.1 or whatever kicked ass, perfect sound.
I was blown away by the south american bits

loved the bit with the guy from columbia that caught the drumstick. he's the happiest person i've ever seen 8)

reply

Yep, I really felt for the guy...

I was worried when it first started and the Director popped on the screen and introduced himself in a manner similar to Marti Di Bergi, but it was an incredible film.

All the better for seeing it on the big screen.

I loved the 'Father Iron Maiden' priest. Quite, quite mad!

It was good they showed the very forceful policing in Columbia, and I did feel for the band (I think it was argentina?) when they'd just jumped off the plane, obviously knackered and they were mobbed.

My only real criticism of the film was the way the live footage was cut short and they showed 'backstage' clips of the band while the live music track was still playing, but overall I loved it.

... and only a drummer could catch a golf ball on his wrist! (loved Lars's comment that Niko should play with a smaller kit so we could see what he was doing)

the dvd/bd will come with an extra disc with full performances of all the songs on it.

reply

Plymouth sold out? Damn it was full in there. There was prog metal band trying to recruit a singer outside, giving leaflets to all people in maiden shirts. Good tactic to find potential metal singers! The staff were asking people if the film was worth showing again.

The mans tongue didnt come through customs!

reply

well I sell sold out because a guy from work bought tickets at about 1800 and they said there was 9 available tickets left.

Didnt see the prog guys....
