Anyone not familiar with Maiden seen it?

If you are not familiar with Iron Maiden or do not like their music, what did you think of the movie?

This movie got me into Maiden. I happened to come across it right when Fear of the Dark was starting. It gave me the most intense chill watching it. Unbelievable. Now I love Maiden!

I was not familiar with their music at all until I saw the movie. Since it was made by the same fellow who did "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey", I gave the movie a shot and enjoyed it. The movie was great as it not only gives you a pretty positive view of the band members, but it also includes numerous song clips and fan interviews, plus there was the bonus full concert. The whole movie was a great introduction to the group and I've become a fan after watching the film. Now I'm trying to save up some cash to buy their albums!

Hadn't heard much of Maiden before, bought it because of Dunn and his past documentaries. I'll definately be checking out more of their stuff in the future.

I was a very casual fan, and very luckily came across this. I love it. I just made a post about how awesome it is.

I don't know much about Iron Maiden. I recently saw them do a song called Phantom of the Opera on one of those multi-act concerts on TV, I thought they were kind of interesting.

This movie, there didn't seem to be a whole lot going on, it was just fly from one gig to the next, show some concert footage, fly to the next gig. I thought the fact that Bruce Dickinson flew the plane was one of the more interesting aspects. Over the course of the movie I guess you get a feel for some of their personalities, and you get to hear some of their music, which is I suppose the goal for these kind of movies.

I don't feel driven to buy any of their albums. The musicians are obviously all very good at what they do. I was a little surprised at how much the fans constantly sang along with the songs, because I didn't think many of the vocal melodies or parts were particularly memorable.

One thing I noticed is how young most of their fans were. One of the band members made the comment that it looked like the same kids who were out there 20 years ago. I'm wondering does this mean that their fans tend to lose interest as they get older? Maybe this style of music appeals mainly to teenagers, and as they get older they move away from it? Not trying to hate, just trying to give what you were asking for, my honest impressions.
