Where did you see Maiden for the first time?

I was lucky to them in Madrid Spain in 1984 during their Powerslave tour. It is STILL the best concert I ever saw and I've seen the Scorpions, Aerosmith, Motley Crew just to name a few.

The first time I saw them was January 13, 1987 in Philadelphia at the Spectrum. I was 15 years old, it was my first concert ever and my parents drove me and my two friends. My parents said as they were waiting outside to pick us up and bus pulled up in front of them and they saw the band being escorted out. DAMN!

I saw the concert on June 6th, 2008 in Edmonton, Canada at Rexall Place. Quite simply it was the best conert I went to. Best night of my life. I dressed up like Bruce in Rock in rio (minus the parachute pants- I just wore my skinny jeans because those parachuite pants are hard to find), but then took the denim vest off and wore the longsleeved shirt I got over the gray shirt for the rest of the show (I still have it, it's too bad the right sleeve has bleach stains on it but it still kicks ass).

I've seen a lot of concerts but wow. No concert will ever live up to Maiden's. It was an amazing night- I jumped, screamed, sang, and rocked with the legacy that is Iron Maiden. Plus only one opening act too who was 20 minutes, Maiden were on at 8:15, and therefore that meant 2 hours of the best band ever, Iron Maiden, rocking the arena off the ground.

In short, will I see Maiden live again? DUH. Their concert was the best concert ever and I wanted to go to every remaining show on the tour. I'm making sure I see them at least 3 times for the new album tour!

I saw them in 1990 at the King's Hall in Belfast. I was 16. Amazing gig, but no Adrian. Wolfsbane were supporting and Blaze's poor Bruce impression was very annoying. Little did any of us know the horror that lay ahead just a few years later.

First time was at Wembley Arena on the No Prayer On The Road tour. We stood in the sheeting rain for about an hour so all had to buy a t-shirt just to stave off hypothermia.
The gig was bloody brilliant though.

I've been a Maiden fan since 1983, and have yet to see them. I had tickets all lined up back around 1987 for a show in Buffalo (about 25 miles from where I lived), but couldn't get a ride there (I was only 15). Then a few years later they were coming back and I was going to go, but the show was cancelled. Since then, I keep on missing them for one reason or another.

Saw them the first time when they supportet Kiss on their first European Tour 28, September 1980 in Basel, Switzerland. I was probably the only Maiden fan in the venue. The 2nd time was on their first headliner tour outside England at the Volkshaus in Zuerich, Switzerland 5, April 1981. I remember that concert well they had to repeat some songs because they played for more than 2 hours and only had 2 albums released...off course these gigs were with Paul DiAnno on vocals. The 3rd time was in Winterthur, Switzerland 12, April 1982 first tour with Bruce. I had my Maiden leather wristband signed by Bruce...I still have it somewhere.
So these are the first 3 concerts I saw Maiden, off course I saw them a couple of times after that but these early gigs were amazing

I know that feeling. I went to see Pantera open for Skid Row on the Slave to the Grind tour in January 1992 in Fayetteville, NC. I liked Skid Row, but I was there more for Pantera, and I think I was one of the only ones there that even knew who Pantera was.

There was a small door & balcony up above the right side of the stage. Before the show, one of the members of Skid Row stepped out to look at the crowd and the place erupted. Another Skid Row member did the same, and again, the crowd went nuts. Then some other dude with long hair steps out and the place went silent...everyone looked at each other like "who's that?". I then yelled out "Darrell!!!!" and Dimebag (Diamond Darrell at the time), looked out into the crowd, saw me, and threw me the horns. Everyone looked at me like "who?" and I yelled out "it's Diamond Darrell from Pantera". While everyone was buying Skid Row shirts at the show, I was sporting the Pantera shirt.

Just got better every time.

My best mate and I are huge Maiden fans, and popped our Maiden cherry together in 2003, but we always argue over A Matter of Life and Death. He hates it: I liked it to begin with and it grows on me with every listen, to the point where it might just be my favourite album. So he refused to come with me in 2006 cause he didn't want to see it played in full - which blew my mind, BTW.

I forgave him though, and we both saw them at Download in 2007 and went to SBIT show in Twickenham, London in 2008 and it was ASTONISHING! The boys just keep outdoing themselves and I for one can't wait to hear The Final Frontier.

Wanted to go see them in 2003 but was only 13 so was not allowed to go without my dad and I couldn't afford to buy both his and mine ticket/persuade him to go. Finally got to see them was at Reading Festival 2005, I was 15 and had got a day ticket to the festival to see them, I sang along to every song and went crazy which must have been quite amusing to watch seeing as i'm only 5 foot tall. Saw them again in Cardiff in 2006 and then again at Download Festival in 2007. Really wanted to see them at Twickenham in 2008 but didn't have enough money. Seeing them again at Sonisphere festival this year, can't wait :)

London Hammersmith Odeon in 1983 on the World Piece Tour. Considering the size of the shows they do now, it seems a bit strange to have seem them in such a relatively small concert hall. My brother saw them play at Brunel University in London in 1980, which I believe was Adrian Smith's first gig with the band.
