What, no Ivan Sergei as Luke ?

I hate when they make second parts and then change the actors.
In the first movie, Ivan Sergei starred as Luke, who got Mary at the end.
Now they have some other guy playing Luke in this new movie: Dean McDermott.

Even Santa has been changed. In the first one Santa was played by George Wendt, who is mostly known for his role as Norm in Chears.
Now they have hirred Paul Sorvino instead, not a bad actor but i just cant picture him being Santa Clause, sorry.

Quit griping. Look how many different Batmen there are. And people still watch it.

To be fair, in the Batman franchise, there's completely different actors for each movie (for the most part. I realize that isn't always the case), as well as different characters. This is like, changing one or two actors and keeping the rest the same, like (since you mentioned Batman anyway), how they changed Katie Holmes to Maggie Gyllenhaal. It's kind of annoying.

Actually, Michael Keaton played Batman in the first two movies... and as far as I'm concerned, he should have played Batman in all of the movies... his understated performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman was absolutely perfectly (IMHO).

I hate that, too... two major roles with different actors in them... very annoying... by the by, the "some other guy" (Dean McDermott) is married to Tori Spelling.

I'd guess that one or two of the key actors from the first film turned it down so they decided to put a whole new cast around Jenny. Doesn't really bother me much.
