OBVIOUSLy, hearing good things about it. Where can I legally download it or buy it? (no ebay, amazon, youtube, or google vids)

I, too, have been waiting to see it. If you go to http://www.smiletrain.org and scroll down to the bottom of the homepage, you can (to quote their website):

"Sign-up to receive email updates when Smile Pinki will be: Available on DVD, coming to a theater near you and broadcast on TV."

It is going to be shown on HBO on June 3 at 7 pm and then replayed later in the month. I am looking forward to seeing it!

Rent a room at your favorite hotel featuring HBO. That's where we ran across this documentary by chance this weekend. Bring your own popcorn, enjoy a good night's sleep away from the distractions of home, and take advantage of free continental breakfast in the morning, to boot.
Strictly as cinema, this documentary is Oscar bait, but features captivating subjects (especially Pinki) and more genuine human resonance than most films actively trying to pluck your heartstrings.
As a fundraising appeal (which this certainly is), I've seen few of this quality.
A solid B/B+ effort, and well worth seeing.

As the poster above me mentions, HBO on Demand is running this now. I caught it last night and enjoyed it very much.

More science, less fiction.

Watch in online at http://www.videolinks4u.net/video/videos/27818/
or

The quality is moderate and the subtitles are mostly readable in fullscreen. Was not able to download it.

I hope it's not pulled because of copyrights etc. Sure you can buy the DVD and donate that way or you can post the above links at your favorite message board. I know that two or three members at my hangout made donations.

It's a shame it's not rentable at Netflix and so on. Most people are not curious enough to buy it, but if it's rentable or watchable in high quality online at Netflix then it would reach a much wider audience. That's a lot of lost opportunities to motivate people to donate.
