Uh, wow. Talk about stealing a title.

I really hate it when new movies steal the title of classic films, especially when that classic film just so happens to be a great film, too.

High Noon is a Fred Zinnemann masterpiece starring Gary Cooper as the immortal Will Kane. It is not a Lifetime movie.

"What I want to know is how we're going to stay alive this winter."

it isnt stealing anything, its taken from the book its based on.

thats a really commen phrase that can easily be used as a title for a book or film. its not like the author was like "hey, i can't think of a title for my book, but that movie high noon had such a great title that i think ill use it for my book!". the two have nothing to do with one another, and the titles both have a meaning for the film so it makes sense.

Yeah, I was going to say you don't see me getting bent out of shape when someone German points at something floating in the water and says,"schauen, Das Boot".

The classic movie's theme (and the name Gary Cooper) actually plays a key role in Nora Roberts' book and this tv movie. So there is a reason for why it was named "High Noon".
