The Imposter

I've not seen this film, but I was lucky enough to watch the excellent documentary, The Imposter, at the weekend. That film features interviews with Bourdin and the Gibson family. I would highly recommend it.

Was thinking at the time it would make a good movie. Didn't realise there already was one.

"The Imposter" is an excellent film. This one is boring in comparison.

I've yet to see the documentary but really want to see it. This film doesn't quite work but it has good moments and leaves a real pang in the viewer's heart for both the child who disappeared and is dead, undoubtedly, and the lost soul of the imposter. It's worth seeing and I rate it 6.5/7 because Ellen Barkin was brilliant as Kimberley, the mother and Marc-André Grondin very good as Nicky/Frederic.

I just saw the Imposter and thought the same thing.

Shame that the film that was made about this subject wasn't very good. The story is very interesting and I am sure when Nicholas Barclay is eventually found (dead or alive) there'll be more material for a follow up documentary.

The Imposter documentary is excellent. It's up there with 'Dreams of a Life' as one of the most rivetting, and fascinating documentaries that I've seen in a while.
