Thank god Nostradamus was just some random fool

Without having seen this TV show, I predict it fall in the category of "non science" with all the ghost hunter shows and speak with the dead shows, that is slowly creeping in on the history & discovery channels, as if it had anything to do with reality.

They should make some really interesting shows, about how many humans need to believe in mysticism and religions and why, instead of just selling out and showing fantasy on a channel that should be reserved for reality.

Nostradamus has made not one unmistakably awesome prediction. All his writings are cloudy at best. He makes no real accurate predictions like “on 9/11 2001, in what shall me known as Manhattan, 2 flying machines shall bring down 2 towers and the world economy will crash shortly after”. And even if he had, that could be a self for filling prophecy, as the people who flew the plane, might have read it. Anyway he did not write anything like that about 9/11 nor any other event.

On December 12th 2012 nothing will happen. Except It will be my mother’s 64th birthday, and the day after, all the Nostradamus followers will find a new way to read his writings, as to make it match some other year or date or event, like they always do.

Nostradamus makes no clear accurat predictions about anything. Do they forget to mention that in the film?

And then if it happens you'll be kicking yourself in the ass :) Though I agree this is ridiculous. People have been crying about the end of the world since the world began.

Actually, Nostrodamus made one quite accurate prediction and that was some people will criticize his work by comment in writing and using poor grammar and many typos. BTW, it's not "self for filling prophecy," it's "self fulfilling prophecy." I would doubt very much if some even read the prophecies of Nostrodamus in the first place, as all of his quatrains are written by not stating exactly what happens but rather leaves it for others to interpret and are written in sequence inasmuch as his prophecies are in chronological order, or at least some think they are. One could, I suppose some interpret that 9/11 was a phophecy, but another "real" event would supplant that prophecy as the manufactured one. In any event, many of his prophecies over the past 400+ years are open to debate and much discussion. I do think something besides someone's birthday will happen on 12/12/2012. Nothing on that day will NOT happen. Give it a read, although it IS a difficult read and draw you own conclusions.
