Location of swim scene?

Perhaps it might be you who is misinformed/confused. The OP specifically stated he wanted to know where the scene was shot with them swimming in WHITE water and the other poster correctly stated that it was in Ravenna, Italy !!

1. There is a scene in Paris where the father tells his best friend that he is taking his family to Ravenna, Italy so the girls can see what it is like there.

2. In Ravenna, Italy he takes the girls to a historic ancient church there and explains the meaning of the murals on the ceiling to them.

3. Afterwards they all go swimming in a pool nearby that is full of very obvious milky-WHITE water. (At no point does this imply that the scene is a flashback to something that happened at their country home in France. My distinct impression is that they were swimming in a pool located in the city they were vacationing in...which happens to be Ravenna, Italy. Granted, there might have been something symbolic about the scene since you don't often see milky white water like that, but the point is that it was happening while they were on vacation in Ravenna)

4. The father keeps disappearing because of being more involved in phone calls than enjoying time with his family....his wife confronts him and tells him that if he doesn't stop, she will pack her bags and go "back", meaning back to their country home in France. There is one last scene in Ravenna, Italy where he surveys the grand valley below from a vista point...by this time even his daughter is disappointed in him and his lack of involvement in family time during this vacation. They return back home to France.

Instead of slamming people and talking about "misinformation abounds" why don't you stop being lazy and give us a detailed explanation of how you came up with the conclusion that the scene of them swimming takes place at their French country house.

Perhaps you should re-watch the movie or re-read the question ... Or both ... :)
