Who do you envision as the 'live' versions of the countries?

The only one pretty rooted in my mind right now is Jason Isaacs as Germany. I know technically all the characters of Hetalia are quite young (except for Japan and China and possibly a few others), but Isaacs has those strong, masculine features to him (and we know he looks good as a blonde).

I think Jason Isaacs looks more like Germania. (and yes, I know Germany and Germania look basically the same except for hair, so he could work)

Germany for me would be Thomas Kretschmann. (he's probably too old, but he's still really sexy) He looks good with really blonde hair and he has crazy blue eyes. Plus he can rock a nazi uniform.

What about that actor in the Producers? (Look up "Springtime for Hitler"). There's a character that looks EXACTLY like Germany! I don't know his name, though.

If you're talking about the main Nazi in the start of that song (the one that dances alongside Ulla and introduces the different girls down the stairs), then you mean John Barrowman, known mainly for Jack Harkness of Doctor Who/Torchwood.

I always thought of Barrowman as Spain, but I don't know what color his eyes are.

I just spotted the perfect Romano. On the cover of the most recent Entertainment Weekly they have different covers featuring the new X-Men, and the guy who plays Nightcrawler is on the cover of my copy. Other than the blue skin, he looks TOTALLY like Romano! The hair, the golden (amber) eyes, even his expression looks slightly terrified...

His name is Kodi Smit-McPhee (yikes) and in his IMDB photos he doesn't look very Romano at all, but...here is the EW cover.
