First topic! I don't understand all the hate this show gets

What's with everyone ragging on this show? It certainly isn't perfect, but I do enjoy it myself. It's a shame it probably won't be back for a second season, but eh, if watching American garbage such as "Earl" or "How I Met Your Mother" is what you enjoy, then knock yourselves out.

Even at it's very worse, the Beeb is still gold compared to what passes for TV on this side of the pond.

There is something about the laugh track that aggrivates me. It seems way over the top! other than that, the show aint too bad..

This comedy is well written, but I think it could benefit from a different cast. The lines are not delivered naturally, but I do watch it and I look beyond the acting to find some intelligent humour.

I quite enjoy it, i think the teenage daughter is the funniest character in the show.

Earl is ok, I watch it the odd time. I only mentioned it to be an example because there's not a whole lot of sitcoms that are still on.

I can't beleive you thin My Name is Earl is garbage. It's one of the funniest and original series to come about recently.

My name is earl , how i met your mother are both perfectly good original american comedys & life of riley is no way rubbish at all , out of all the british comedys E.G , outnumbered , my family and all that garbage is way more rubbish than this , this is actually the 1st good series since (Game on & Bottom)

It's simply a matter of opinion. It is not meant to be the funniest show in the universe. It's a very light hearted family show and actually I do find it funny, not hysterical but I really enjoy it especially my fave actor Neil Dudgeon. I went to the filming of the last episode of LOR 5 weeks ago and loved seeing the auntie's bloomers aspect of seeing the show filmed. It was a great night and I was lucky enough to meet the gorgeous Neil D who came out of rehearsals to see me and a friend as we had travelled all the way from London to Glasgow to see him and managed to get a message to him that we were there. He was so adorable to chat to and happy to officially endorse my website on him.

I think it's Caroline Quentin that's the problem, lots of people (me included!) just really don't like her at all

I find her so annoying I can't watch this show for more than a couple of minutes before switching over, which is a shame as I love Neil Dudgeon and don't like to miss anything he's in
