Why was this story not in Narcos?

As far as I remember (and feel free to correct me) but was this just glossed over in Narcos?? Or was it in the grand scheme of things not that important in bringing down Escobar .. Its just they mentioned Seals in Narcos but none of this?

Maybe because narcos focuses more on events around escobar himself

This story has little to nothing to do with Escobar other than it was his money. That's it. He wasn't involved otherwise. He had plenty of other sources to launder cash.
