Not an entirely bad screenplay overall but...

Jesus christ the dialogue was distractingly cliche- the MC and the boyfriend were given the most melodramatic lines imaginable [I know it's based off a YA novel but that is little excuse]-feel like the only actor totally comfortable with their lines was Mireille (Chloe's mother)- but possibly it might just be that it's the screenwriter I'm not a fan of as I loved Whip it but also found the dialogue be quiet random in some places (and I hated what to expect when you're expecting overall) -also found Chloe's wig extremely distracting initially -but was impressed when read that Chloe's head was superimposed onto a body-double during the cello scenes that must have taken some brilliant acting on Chloe's behalf to pull off
