I've noticed my brother watching clip from this show on youtube, i remember i watched shows like these some years ago.
But now having become a christian, by God's grace through His son and my Lord Jesus Christ, it sickens me.
I understand that all people involved have agreed to be tortured for payment, yet it disgusts me how much people are blinded by satan through money and a sort-of fame, to torture people for their amusement, as well as agree to it.
May God lead the producers, participants and watchers of all such shows towards learning about his son Jesus Christ, and renounce the evil ways of this world, and instead to be lead to peace and joy and eternal life with Christ.

Satan? Evil ways of the world? The show may be stupid, but it's just entertainment. In comparison to Fear Factor, Silent Library is nothing. Now THAT show is degrading.

Listen, i'm speaking in terms of faith in Lord Jesus Christ, so how evil and confusion was described in the Bible, i called it.

"Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God." (2 Corinthians 4:4)

"For everything in the world--[are] the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father [God] but from the world." (1 John 2:16)

For instance Lord Jesus Christ was telling us to love one another, explaining it as doing to others what you'd like for yourself.
Do the people in this show do it - loving one another?
It appears to me - not.
I urge you to think about it, would you like yourself to be in the place of those participants?
It wouldn't seem as entertaining, for sure, to be the subject of
mild torture and sadism disguised as jokes.
You might as well read the Bible, to understand what i'm talking about and if you want to know who Jesus Christ is and how to get eternal life.
May God help you find peace and love in Christ.

I am a strong believer in Christ, but I'll be honest; at first I was led to believe that Silent Library was just an innocent show. But you helped me to see the show for what it truly is with your strong argument above; thanks.

Silent Library is pretty degrading; the thing that gets to me most is what people have to eat; I would throw up in a heart beat.

If it's the truth you're speaking, then you should thank God and Lord Jesus Christ, not me.
Hopefully, it's not just empty words that you've written.
But if you're hiding behind lies, may God and Lord Jesus Christ help you find the truth and peace in faith in Christ.

There are plenty of alternatives to the Bible. Astro Boy, Bleach, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Fullmetal Alchemist are just a few book series that have stories better than the Bible, and can be used as much better moral guides. Or if you want electronic media, the complete Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD set is hard to top.
