What platform will you use?

I've got both a Playstation 3 and a Xbox 360. I can't decide which system to get the game for though. What do you think?

Personally, unless you have an EX2 arcade stick for the 360 (which is f_cking expensive, $100 for an arcade stick, utter bullsh!t, yeah, it'll feel just like you're playing it at an arcade and it sure beats the 360 controller, but at $100, is it really worth it?), I'd go with the PS3 version, the PS3 controller is (admittedly, and I say this as a proud 360 owner) much better for these types of games.

But, since the 360 is the only current generation console I own and since I have no desire to blow out a ton of my money for another system in this sh!thole of an economy, needless to say I'm getting the 360 version.

Went with the PS3. Gotta say the controller really was the deciding factor.

I got both and opted for 360. I don't even play my ps3 really, the online sucks and 360's dpad doesn't phase me one bit. I'm schooling fools so far.

Ya wanna know how I got these scars?

I went with the PS3 version because I have Sega Saturn USB pads that I use. The PS3 controller and 360 controller are horrible. If you can find a fighting pad, I would suggest buying those.

I may end up getting both, as I've got the same number of friends with the 360 as I do the PS3. I still use the D-pad some, but for the most part I use the thumbstick.

Unfortunately, I've only got an X360 and I know Microsoft have the tendency to have odd controls for games compared to the PS3 ones, so i'm kinda dreading trying to adapt to XBox controls for fighting games.

reply

Just buy a MadCatz SF4 Fightpad (360) if you can find one. It's worth it.

reply

I bought the game for 360 along with one of those fightpads. I also have a PS3 and to be honest, even though the standard PS3 controller is better than the 360 one for fighting games it's still not ideal. No matter which version anybody picks up I recommend the fightpad for sure.

i played both versions in HMV the other day, and the PS3 felt much better, the salesguy also said that the PS3 version is much better overall. he also highly recommended getting that sega pad if your willing to spend the money.
