The movie is about the endtimes prophesied in the Bible

The movie is about the events that can be expected in the endtimes. The events that occurred in the film are the type of events that will occur during the endtimes. Some of the events that have already occurred were shown to illustrate how they will devastate people. The attack on the WTC, floods, typhoons, tornados, missing people, etc, are symbols of what people can expect during the endtimes. They are shown so that people can relate with them, so that people will feel and understand how the people living during the endtimes will feel and understand.

The movie is a Christian movie. If someone isn't a Christian, the movie will not only have nothing that they can relate to but it will make them angry and dissatisfied, and they will complain about it and insult it because they don't understand the message that it offers. It's a simple message, so simple that a child can understand it, and that's the stumbling block for non-Christians.

The message is: accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Put your faith in him. He has died for your sins so that you don't have to. Because of him, you can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. There's nothing else you have to do. Some peopole will accept him and others won't. Some people believe in the Christian God and others don't. Some people believe in God but not in Jesus Christ. Some people believe in other Gods. Some people believe the prophesy of the Bible and others don't. The Scriptures have been debated for thousands of years and will be debated until the end of time. Some people believe that the endtimes are upon us and others don't. Everybody has the free will to choose what they want to believe. The Bible says that the end will not come until the Gospel is preached to all the world. It either has or soon will be.

Indeed, its a childish movie, made by a child with little in the way of talent.

"The message is: accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Put your faith in him. He has died for your sins so that you don't have to."

How can I have faith in him if he is dead? Didn't work out so well for him eh? And what's that nonsense about dying for my sins - I hadn't sinned when he lived!
In fact I haven't sinned now, I haven't been given a manual from some creator - saying what I can or can do - that a bunch of human maniacs have printed a book they pretend is from supernatural being is no proof. In fact if your argument is that I have to love your loving god or he will torture me to death, I'd say you need to talk to a shrink.

And its still a crap movie.

I'm not a church going Christian and I understood the movie perfectly. It was a missing child movie. As a woman with children I could relate to her plight. You don't have to be any religion to relate to being a mother. I stopped watching the movie because it was boring me to death.

I'm not angry. I'm not dissatisfied. Not complaining. Not insulting. My views on the movie (and religion, actually) are as valid as yours.

It would of been fine if it was about a missing child. But it wasn't. That child was taken by rapture and the movie was really about the mother finding God and accepting Christ. Her daughter was a metaphor and a tool.

Because if she didn't accept God she would never have seen her child again who was already in heaven. It was a horrible movie made by some Crazy Christians about their view about the end of the world. They actually believe that it will take place around where Israel is located and when it happens if the Jews do not accept God they will all die, only the ones who do will live. That is why all we saw were Jewish temples crumbling and being damaged. Even in the very beginning of the movie when she is reporting all we see is a Temple being destroyed. I never would of known it was a earthquake if they did not mention it. I am not even Jewish and this movie gets me mad. How dare they think it is ok to kill off a whole religion because they are not Christians.
