And yet she's been married to that same man for 34 years this year, so I don't think he was just a rebound. People don't choose how, when and why they fall in love. He helped her through one of the darkest periods of her life. She's said she would be "dead without him, emotionally at least." She obviously didn't plan it.

It happens, she found someone else and has been with him for some years.
