About the ending (spoilers)

I just recently watched this and I wanted to talk a bit about it.
I assume that everyone can guess that someone was choked to death by the ropes they had set up. I suppose it was initially set up to catch the person who took their bikes or the person that went missing in the woods.

It could be guessed that it was the blonde one with his hood on, perhaps playing a joke on the other one, who became victim to the fatal accident.
The ending is the result of the accident, the dark haired one is questioned about it, and it looks like there is no longer a future for him.

I'd generally describe this movie as a series of mistakes where it ends in a really dramatic way.
