Where we see the giants could very well be a military outpost. In the long shot when Jack first arrives, the camera pulls back to reveal the stone head and what you see is only part if a vast amount of terrain. Past the clearing there are trees stretching far and wide.

Perhaps a village with females and children would not be unlikely.

However, the two-headed giant sounded like James Nesbitt! I suppose that, with the Giant's Causeway being in Northern Ireland, it is feasible! 😕
