I have seen the first 50 minutes of Birdemic, but I have not seen this movie yet. I just picked it up at Target for $5, and if it's bad in the same way that Birdemic is bad, I would rather not open the shrink wrap and return it.
I like so-bad-it's-good movies, but watching Birdemic just made me feel bad for everyone involved in making it. I had to turn it off before getting to the end. Will Shark vs. Octopus be the same?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes. However, invite a couple of friends over and watch it. Make sure they're the creative type of friends. And be creative yourself! I promise you there are no comedy movies out there that'll make you laugh this hard.

True both are purposely made so bad its good films but
Megashark vs octopus is completely different to Birdemic.
Birdemic entertainment value = 1/10
M v O entertainment value = 9/10

Actually, while I agree that this movie was deliberately made to be bad, Birdemic was supposed to be taken seriously. The director only changed how he defended the movie when he realized how people were taking it.
Plus, the acting is better in this movie. Not great or even good, by any means, but better than Birdemic.
