Release Date
Anyone know when this is supposed to go to DVD in the U.S. Amazon has the item available for preorder but lists no release date and IMDb says only "2009."

My three year old asks me everyday when we can go to the store and buy this movie. Everytime we're in a store, he asks if we can buy the "new George movie"! I heard it was going to be released sometime in September 2009.....guess that was wrong!
Well isn't that just the pickle on the giant crap sandwich that is my day.
I've seen the movie, and it is abysmal in my opinion. My three-year-old daughter is just about the biggest Curious George fan you could find...we had a CG birthday party for her in October, she watches the movie all the time, we have every episode of the PBS series recorded, she always wants us to play the Jack Johnson CD in the car, and on and on and on.
I got my hands on a copy of this movie online while waiting for it to be released in the theater or straight to DVD (whichever they decide to do) and she saw about 30 minutes of it before completely losing interest, and she has never wanted to watch it again. And I agree with her.
It is highly unlikely we'll go to this movie or ever buy it. It's a shame, because I think the Curious George movie is great fun and was very well done...except of course for them calling The Man with the Yellow Hat, "Ted Shackelford." Meh.
Hopefully the FINISHED FILM will be an improvement on your 'bootleg' version.
