ugh

I've been binge watching and after season 3 this is pretty much a different show. I am pushing through for the sake of finishing. But damn this is nothing like what it started out as.

I an struggling through season 2. Not sure I will make it to three. First was so good then downhill ?

I ended up really liking the last 3 episodes of season 2. Here's hoping Season 3 is a good one :)

I so agree! When I was watching the first three seasons, it was "Oh my gosh. Why do I have to sleep? What happens next?!" Then the last two seasons were pushing through just because I had to see it to the end. I did absolutely adore Tom, though. He and George were my favorite sad wolfy characters.

I was so incredibly disappointed in season 4. It's not just because most of the original cast was gone. The writing and and even guest stars didn't seem as good.

However, I was pleasantly surprised with season 5. For me at least, I felt they finally got a groove back after being lost in season 4 where they had one foot stuck in the past while trying to come of with ways to introduce new characters. It seemed that after the last original cast member was gone they were finally free to do what they wanted.

On the other hand S4 did give us this:

Season 1 was my favorite for the concentration on character and the blend of humour and drama. Season two was still good even though the character's story lines were more separated and the humour was less. I'm not that fond of Nina though. The flashback episode 5 was great. Season 3, I hated what they did with Mitchell as a character through out the entire season. The romance with Annie seemed forced and both her and Nina I found annoying (I downright hated Nina this season). Too many werewolves acting superior. The Zombie episode was a winner for me. Season 4 lost interest and not just because AT left the cast. Never watched season 5 although maybe I will one day since people seem to think the show found itself again.

At some point season 2 or 3, it just became a monster show.
the interesting bit about the earlier season was the conflict and humanity of the characters.

In the end it became just another save the world show, and kill or be killed show. Although still entertaining even at the end.
