In December 2009, the gay oriented pornographic website straightcollegemen.com announced a new branch of their site called "Reality Revealed" (hosted both at the original site and at realityrevealed.com). The site specializes in getting allegedly heterosexual men to perform sex acts (solo and in pairs or groups) with the foreknowledge that their intended audience is homosexual men. The site announced that they had procured solo masturbation performances by seven different male cast members from Tool Academy. They immediately made available for purchase the video featuring Stewart "Stew" Ellefson, with semi-explicit preview clips and photos. They posted clear photographs of Daniel "Dan" Jovicevic, John Lamb, Tyler Synon and Josh Dunn, each wearing a Bait & Tackle t-shirt (the name of the production company) and sitting on the same couch Ellefson is featured on in his photos/videos. Each photo has the caption "Coming Soon," "In January" and "In the Future" posted, indicating that the site intends to have sex performance videos of the men available. Jovicevic's video was released in January of 2010. There is also a photograph captioned "In the Future" of two men in Bait & Tackle t-shirts with their faces blurred out; but visible tattoos make it clear that they are Ryan "Matsuflex" Matsunaga and Shawn Southern of season one of Tool Academy.[6] As of January 10th, 2010, the videos released have been solo/masturbation clips.
On December 14, 2009 the website received a cease & desist letter from Eisner, Frank & Kahan law firm.[7] It states: "Please be advised that these performers (and any others that we may be unaware of) are all under binding and enforceable written agreements with 495 that prohibits them from in any way participating in the Websites. Their past and continued participation in the Websites are material breaches of their agreements with 495 and subjects them to a myriad of damages, including 495's right to seek injunctive relief. Please be further advised that the performers have each been contacted and instructed to immediately cease and desist from participating in the Websites." It further insists that the men's images and names be removed from the website immediately. Bait & Tackle is currently consulting their own legal council over the matter.
