Scott Baio, really?

This is the guy teaching them how to get their "fame" back? The only reason Scott Baio is relevent now is for having that show on VH1 and dating Pamela Anderson and still boasting about it.

And his little friend from the Wonder Years (sorry never watched Wonder Years, don't know his name), seriously? That guy's not even in the business anymore. In fact what does he do besides play golf?

His little friend has been quite the successful producer. Check his IMDB page out.

Jason has had lots of success behind the camera,no doubt!!!!

reply

Yeah Butthead, Wayne has done great.

Hmmm let's see... WCW, I Want to Be a Hilton, Billy Ray Cyrus: Home At Last, All Pro Sports, Party Monster's Cabo, oh yeah that's some award winning programming. Why he hasn't won an Emmy for his spectacular production work is beyond me.

I hate to break it to you, but WCW is pretty popular.

who cares about Emmy's? awards are meaningless, if he's making the $$$ that's all that matters in hollywood

but then again, i'm not so sure, lol - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PSVP9LuRhU

LOL! You didn't think, "I Want a Be a Hilton" was an Emmy worthy show? You gotta be kidding me!

Scott Baio and Jason...whatever his name is.. are both producers of this Teen Idol show. I guess they're bringing in some scratch for it?! I don't know how well VH1 reality TV producers get paid though. I wish I knew b/c I am very curious to see who gets rich off these cheesey shows.

"The only reason Scott Baio is relevent now is for having that show on VH1..."

That's exactly why he's the perfect one to be running this show. He was exactly where they are now. And he did it through "reality" television. Reality TV is the only way that formers stars or former teen idols can get back into the business these days.

reply

The guy from Wonder Years is a producer now. So, he's doing more than Scott, that's for sure.

reply

It's so ironic that two losers like Baio and Hervey (sp?) would be the 'big guys' behind it all. Pathetic.

I see your point on that, but who would like to see run the show - people that are still high on the food chain or two people that have fallen off and know what its like to be there?

reply

That's what was so funny to me. My jaw drooped when I saw Scott Baio and that other dude, telling these guys about what they need to do to get back in the limelight.

Well who better to show these guys how to get back into the scene than Scott Baio. You know Scott don't you...he was the star of two reality shows on VH1. You know VH1 - the channel that will buy just about any show that showcases washed up teen idols minis Chris Adkins. Oh, and a washed up Poison front man named Brett Michaels.

reply

Yeah, I know Scott Baio and I am aware that he has done work on VH1, but it was still funny to me to see him giving these guys advice. But hey, that's what it is. I guess he is a good fit seeing as how he can relate to the rest of these guys and can give them advice based on his own experiences.

reply

I apologize. I meant to put that I was being sarcastic in my comment.

reply

Also good point you made about him being a good fit.

I personally don't have a problem with Scott doing the show...now what if Gary Coleman was doing the show?

reply

My problem with it is Scott Baio may have been brought back into the spotlight last year with his very scripted reality shows but where did that lead him? Is he back starring in primetime shows, movies or even something mundane like walking red carpets? I'm too lazy to look at his IMDB page but I'm guessing no.

There have been some amazing comebacks in the last year (Robert Downey Jr, Mickey Rourke, etc) but frankly I don't see Scott Baio or his litte friend being added to that list. So really who are they to give advice? They were famous, then they were has beens, then they got a little spotlight but now they're just two guys on a VH1 show. I'm sure 6 months from now we'll forget we even watched this show.

LOL, my sentiments exactly.

Scott can't be compared to Downey Jr. or Rourke in terms of acting talent. He's ok, but he was never a great actor. The only role he plays in most of his films is the typical Brooklyn guy, which is not a stretch because that's what he isIn fact, I read somewhere that before Jason came up with the idea for his reality show, he was considering retiring from showbiz for good and living off his earnings, so I guess he wants to make the most $$$ possible from these reality shows.

reply

I never watched Wonder Years, nor do I know that kid's name off the top of my head, but even I know that he's a successful producer! He prolly told Scott that that's where the money is and Scott wisely decided to jump on the bandwagon.

Good move, Scott.

The thing Scott Baio is a smart businessman. He knows he is not the greatest actor ever. He knows his limitations. If you look at it from a perspective, Scott is practically the most normal guy in Hollywood while the rest of today's stars like Corey Haim or recently Joaquin Phoenix would go bat crazy and lose their own freaking minds. I mean, did you ever see Scott Baio dress like a hobo, look horribly overweight, have a huge beard, and wear dark shades while he is in interviews or whatnot? No. He dresses like any normal guy you see everyday.

reply

Listen Biatches, Charles is and will always be in charge!

reply

Baio and Hervey are jokes. Simple. Anyone who is only known as Kevin Arnold's 'butthead' brother is quite the loser when it comes to their profession.
