Great story and meaning!

The movie has a great story and it's trying to tell something that catches the viewer and doesn't leave her without tears in her eye. It's very easy to understand and only the story is reason enough for one to watch this.

I myself live in Sweden, I was also born here but I'm Turkish and I really wish us Turks and Kurds can settle our problems! This movie made me CRY, and I never cry!

I rated this movie 10/10 but it had it's minor faults such as the cutting in this movie. The movie could also be a bit longer because parts of the story was left out, or so it seemed.

PS. I wish I was able to write a better "review" but I wasn't blessed with writing skills!

this movie felt like a season of soap opera condensed into one movie. it didn't have a proper storyline, and it felt just like a collection of random events.

I'm no expert on Turk/Kurd problems, but at times this movie also felt more or less propagandist. plus, I don't understand that why didn't this Mamo go to jail for killing his brother... or is it ok to kill transvestites in Turkey?

I know NOTHING of the history/politics involved in these places. I really enjoyed this movie. Yep, it is like a soap opera, hehehe, but I've got to say that the dvd cover only shows one arc of this story and i wasn't expecting this movie to focus on other themes. LOVE

coldt, poor you, who has been watching THE and ONLY movie that many delusional Turks imagine and re-imagine when it comes to Kurds and Kurdistan: their ruling the Kurds and presence in Kurdistan is a "blessing" from God, which is the message of also this "movie" (read propaganda). I too live in Sweden and witness how people see through the Turkish self-deception and laugh behind their back (perhaps too fearful of them to do that in their face).

PS. Never mind the "Turkish-Kurdish conflict"; if I were you, I would be more concerned about saving my own face by giving the truth a try, instead of encouraging "movies" like this to litter film history.
