Remade as 'Hidden 3D?'
This looks like a foreign film that Americans decided to attempt to remake as the 2011 film called Hidden starring Sean Clement and Jordan Heyes. Movie wasn't that great, so is this one any better?
share...although they have elements in common: the adult returns to the scene of his unhappy childhood, the sadistic mother ... but there are more differences.
The 2011 film threw away a magnificent setting by having a pedestrian story and uninspired acting and direction. (I didn't see it in 3D.)
This Norwegian film is much more focussed, quite a tight little thriller that engages our sympathy much better. I'd give this one a 6.5/10, the other one no more than 4/10.
