Yes, it was predictable, but I think that was the point. It was one of those easy-going rainy night feel-good movies.

Also, I did not know that the Michael's portrayer was Tori Spelling's husband. Took me for a loop.

Shawn:Wow... Dad.Tell me you're wearing that shirt because someone has to spot you from space.

Michael's character seemed somewhat miscast to me. In comparison to his lovely co-star; he seemed tired, older and stalker like.
