Rossetti's House

Where was Rossetti living? It looked like a conservatory.

I'm pretty sure it was a greenhouse, possibly belonging to a friend. I think it was implied in the programme that they were 'borrowing' it whilst the owners were away.

It seemed like he was trespassing in the greenhouse. :)

I totally agree. In 1861 Dante Gabriel and Lizzie lived in rooms at 13 Chatham Place, Bridewell - not sure if it had a conservatory though- (address can be verified by the 1861 census); later, after her death, he moved to Chelsea. At one time he shared a working studio with Morris in Clipstone Street (off Gt Portland St) and I was extremely fortunate in the 1970s to have worked in the rooms they used.

He lived in Cheyne Walk, I've been there ages ago. From memory, I think there is a plaque.
