IMDB has been down for 8 months
And TDKR is still one of the great films ever made and is certainly the greatest third entry ever made. Nolan is a damn genius and I hope the haters one day beg forgiveness and realize his genius.

shareI know Christopher Nolan is a great director. I know he's a genius. But TDKR is far from a great film.

shareAnd Batman Begins too for me. I think TDKR largely falls apart after the first Batman v Bane fight which was awesome though. The going broke after the stock market heist, just needing to do some pullups and situps to beat Bane, and the Talia twist didn't work for me.
shareYou do realize that Bruce trained for months right? He didn't just do one set of pull ups and then was ready to defeat Bane. Next time try paying attention.
shareYeah I get he maybe trained for about two months in the story although I think the pacing around that part in the film makes the timeline seem very much shorter. He beats Bane in a couple of minutes in round two. Seems like he was just out of shape in round 1. Round 2 is a lame fight imo. Next time take off your bat goggles.
shareI didn't get that impression at all, he spends a buttload of time down there in the pit I got the impression that a lot of time had gone by. And he still was not stronger than Bane in Round 2, the only reason he won was because he went for the mask and in Round 1 he didn't know that was his weakness.
Round 2 was also shorter because by that point it was about a lot more than just Bruce vs. Bane.
I think if round 2 was a longer fight, even isolated a bit between just the two, maybe I would have thought Bane was still a superior or on par opponent. Bane just gets soundly beat and quickly in the second fight which is why it was disappointing to me. I don't think this is a bad movie. I just enjoyed the other two a lot more.
