Anyone wonder what a 4th Batman Nolan film would have been like?

With John Blake revealed to be Robin at the end and going into the batcave, do you think there could have been a worthy story for a sequel? Like such as him being actually Robin as he decides to try to continue Batman's legacy.

Would be interesting to see a movie with just Robin as Batman is gone (whether Nolan made it that Bruce at the end of TDKR was just a dream and he actually did die at end).

Blake would have acted as Batman for a short time until being killed by a criminal.

After Blake's murder Bruce would return to retake the role of Batman.

In time a circus would come to play Gotham City. During the trapeze act the young trapeze artist Dick Grayson's parents would be murdered while performing their aerial act. Witnessing this crime and understanding what the young boy was going through Bruce would take Dick Grayson into his home where the boy would be taught to channel his rage and anger in a positive way.

Eventually Grayson would take it upon himself to join Batman as a partner in crime-fighting. Batman would be resistant to this at first not wanting to endanger the boy but would eventually come to realize that Grayson was going to pursue the crime-fighting path with or without his blessing.

At that point Grayson would take the name 'Robin' as his costumed identity as a way to honor the fallen Robin Blake.

And then other stuff would happen.

It could have been a mix between Batman Beyond and Batman Incorporated.

Gotham is currently at peace, but Blake knows that the time may come when Batman is needed again. Luckily for him, Bruce has left Blake a trail of breadcrumbs to follow that will eventually lead him to Wayne himself (somewhere abroad). When he arrives, he begins his training. We come to find out that Bruce has been training other would-be vigilantes from all over the globe who were inspired by the Batman.

Blake returns to Gotham and gets a bunch of upgraded equipment from Fox (like a Nolanized version of the Batman Beyond suit). Then he takes on his first major enemy (maybe The Penguin or something).

Always. This film, although not as close to perfection as its predecessor is, was an appropriate and satisfying conclusion to Nolan’s Batman universe. And while, yes, I see the Robin tease at the end as nothing more than a, well, tease that worked effectively, you can’t help but wonder how a film concentrating on Blake and directed by Nolan would have been like.

Robin tries his best to honor Batman’s legacy and finds it immensely difficult to do the job ultimately needing Batman to return? That’s how I’d expect it to play out. Nolan, however, I envision him being able to make Blake the film’s sole focus a la Batman Begins.

So yeah, all in all a Blake-centered film is a neat thought. Nolan returning is wishful thinking, but if it did happen and they could somehow pull it off without Batman or Bruce Wayne, then by all means.

I believe Blake would have been killed viciously by a villain (or villains) within the first hour or so, Gotham would once again fall to the gangsters and lunatics forcing Bruce and Selina to reluctantly return.

Bruce and Selina would have a young child (Helena) who at some point in the story would get kidnapped by whichever bad guy they use.

I’d of liked to of seen Black Mask vs Penguin vying for control of Gotham, with Riddler acting as the main adversary to Batman.

I’d also like to see the introduction of the first real Robin - Dick Grayson.

The Dark Knight franchise should not have continued, it was about Bruce's story not Blake's. The ending of TDKR was the most perfect ending I have ever seen and I do not want it to overstay it's welcome.
