The soldier comes home

It is a common theme in war movies that the returning soldier no longer understands his own country. We have seen that in films like in Hollywood movies like First Blood, Born on the Fourth of July or The Best Years of our lives. It is refreshing to see this set in Austria after the First World War. The old order has disappeared and the soldiers come home to a much diminished nation.
