Very Poorly Done

A potentially interesting subject was spoiled by this odd attempt at a documentary that appears to have been intended to be artistic and funny, rather than informational. The film bounces back and forth between talking heads who remain unidentified until halfway through, and clips from old B movies. All this is accompanied by irrelevant, anachronistic music and silly science fiction sound effects. The overall result is unfocused, annoying, and almost unwatchable.

I know you don't agree with me. I'm very fortunate because I don't care.

I've started watching this film -- almost 39 minutes in now -- and I couldn't agree with you more! I'd been wondering if it was just me, and so I had to come to IMDB to find out. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I'm completely in agreement with your review.

reply

Yes, bad production values and horrible sound track, but, wow, what a terrific story!

The OP was right on target, this sounded like a fascinating story, but it never really got traction and seemed to drag along. Your comment about the soundtrack is right on target as well, it was bloody awful.

reply

Agree. Fascinating subject, very choppy presentation.

Haha I really enjoyed this documentary. The music was great. The only real problem I had with it is was purposefully overly confusing. It took about 20-30min for me to really start to understand what the film was about :P
