Solo scores?

I did not think the guy who did the contemporary solo should have received all 9's and 10's while the ballerina representing Russia (but she dances in the USA) received a lower score. What she was doing was far more difficult technically. I thought the judgest were too hard on the second Indian dancer, who gave a delightful performance.

The judges in the top row seem to be playing "you gave my dancers a low score in the last round so I'll do the same to you." The American, Irish, and Russian judges are rising above that and the Chinese judge goes whatever the Russian judge does.

The very first performance of the whole competition, the Irish group step dance, was good but it was rated way too high. I also don't think the tango dancers, both the duet and the solo, were as great as the ratings would lead you to believe.

I was seriously screaming at the television set when they all gushed over the Australian contemporary dancer. He was good, but I wouldn't say he was absolutely amazing. I was actually surprised at Tony Selznick (the American judge.) He is a dance agent out in Los Angeles and represents TONS of dancers who I can guarantee he knows are significantly better, but he still scored a 9. If that was the case, maybe the US should have sent a contemporary dancer instead of a tap dancer. I love that tap is being represented, but clearly the other judges do not understand the technique behind it to score it fairly.
