Michael emphasized the FLAT in Flatley...

He was terrible as a host... and brought nothing to this show, except a monotone voice and a repetitive series of bland questions.

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz.

This guy made Jerry Springer look like a "Superstar of Hosts."

His Faux-Irish accent doesn't work for this type of show...he's as bland as dishwater.
They spent too long "introducing" the judges/hosts....got bored and went elsewhere. This show could probably be good, if it was tightened up. Too much air-time with extraneous junk. Just get to the dancing, and let Michael dance...and be done with it.

Most boring host ever. Hated him.

reply

Hahaha, I agree with you completely. I caught the show about 10 minutes after it started and I wasn't sure if it was Flatley. He sure looks different. I really loved the Irish group. I have always had a thing for Irish women step dancers. Yum!

reply

Yeah, he's from CHICAGO!!! What's with the accent? And he's about as exciting as a dead flashlight battery.

Yes, he grew up in Chicago, but his parents are from Ireland. I don't think it's that unusual that he has inflections of an Irish accent in his voice.

Any host on any show bores me. They try to act like a comedienne or something and just annoy me and take time away from the show *ahem-AFV*.
At least he gets the job done neatly and without wasting too much time.

Gotta say, cheluzal, LOVE your signature!!!

Why, thank you very much.
I teach 8th grade and use it all the time. It's only for the intellectually strong, who can argue and put someone down to the bone without ever going to the cheap, easy curse words. A struggling talent at times! lol

Riverdance notwithstanding, I'm pretty sure he's an American (from Chicago, I think). I wish he'd cool it with the Lucky Charms accent.
