I regret not watching this at the cinema. Anyone else feel like the Advertising/Marketing failed to show how great this film is?

I think the general consensus is that the lack of marketing let the film down.

Glad you got a chance to see the film eventually, shame you missed it at the cinema though, as it was a fantastic experience.

I watched it on my 3D TV (in 3D), and I was blown away, it was STUNNING!

There are not many films like this gem. Dredd is such a bad ass, much better than the original, I can watch this over and over.

Shame about the failure of the marketing.

Other films I have found great like this are:

Dead man's shoes
Super
Mad Max
Wild Card (not rated well, don't understand why)
The Hunt
The Guest (pretty good, nice soundtrack)
Kingsman
Whiplash
Nightcrawler
In Bruges

I agree, Dredd features a fantastic use of the 3D format and was my primary reason for purchasing a new 3D TV!

Same here. And I see pretty much everything. Somehow this fell through the cracks, not sure if the Stallone thing put a damper on it or what.

I ended up buying it cheap off VUDU, watched it the other night and was like
" DAMN, HOW DID I MISS THIS BEFORE??"

My monthly ritual consists of at least one Dredd viewing. Such a great movie and Dredd was very well portrayed in it. Urban totally nailed it. For me it is the sheer brutality of the film along with the atmosphere it brings. All the set pieces are beautiful, especially the mini-gun scene.

I also love the black humor of Dredd, it's a nice ice breaker from the violence. Wish more people could have enjoyed it in the cinema, it was a real blast.
