Joel was hotter than Leo
I'd never thought anyone could out-do Leo in looks, but Joel just oozes sex appeal here.

shareI have to say that Joel is the best Tom Buchanan I've seen in film adaptations of TGG so far. He even managed to make him somewhat sympathetic, which is no easy feat. I wish he had more screen time. I also felt he had more chemistry with Carey Mulligan than Leo did. Not that Leo isn't good in this film, but his chemistry with her seemed a bit off.
