I heard Adam Richman is a jerk in real life

I spoke to someone who said he was featured on one of the episodes of Man v. Food a couple of weeks ago. He said that Adam was a jerk and wouldn't even talk to him unless the cameras were rolling. He also said that he didn't like being touched. Has anyone else heard any stories about what Adam is like in real life?

My brother was at the challenge in Springfield, Illinois. He and his family had no idea that the show was being filmed. No one really showed up for the taping of the competition, most of the people were there as regular customers, so the producers were begging people to stay! About Adam, my brother said that he was very arrogant and as you mentioned, wouldn't talk to anyone unless the camera was rolling. The phrase my brother used to describe Adam was that he's a "prima donna". He also said that the customers who went up to Adam were all told what to say and do by the show.

He has to be a jerk to do this mindless, moronic bilge in the first place.
Should have been titled.
'Macho Moron Tries To Impress To Compensate For His Inadequacies By Overeating'.

It is a pointless show.

Especially the ridiculous challenges. I doubt that most of them really exist.

Some of them just look very sickening, especially the 6 pounds of tacos/burritos, and other compilations of meats, cheeses, potatos, bread, etc. I could see any number of average people literally dropping dead trying to eat the crap that Richman eats.

The worst part is at the end, when he does his mock press event, and he totally acts like an insane prima donna, to describe what he just did. It is creepy.
