How Long Do You Think She Was Solo?and Other ?s

I hope no one thinks this thread needs a 'Spoilers!' notice; it just doesn't seem so to me.

While I know it is never said in the film, i'm just curious how long it seemed to you that she was unchaperoned? I had the feeling that it was a month. The boy's leg indicated that to me, and it just seemed unlikely that her parents would leave her for longer.

Did you think the film's end felt sudden, and briefly treated? It felt to me that maybe the filmmakers ran out of money. They went from such detailed hour by hour coverage to a very quick wrap-up which seemed rather awkward to me, but maybe it was intended to be that way......?

I really liked this film; found it both unusual and engrossing.

I was thinking that she was alone for at least ten days. It could have been more.

I thought that the film ended perfectly. Her parents were home and her adventure of independence and self discovery was over. I found this film fascinating.
It's my second Scandanavian film of the week; the first was Troubled Water, also very good.

I sensed that the family was in Africa for about 6-8 weeks. The aunt went away (or was sent away, rather) after about 2-3 weeks. So the girls was completely alone for about 4-5 weeks. That's my calculation.
