I really liked this film.

Rented it without expectations... but I really ended up liking it. It's more dark comedy, I think, especially with Teddy's near-death scene and obvious attachment issues (to his sister). I also like that Whit is not the goody-goody perfect fiance. In fact, he was annoying in a very endearing way.

I totally agree with you. I found Whit's narcissism endearing. Perhaps if I had to be married to him, I would not. But, I loved that he wasn't the Prince Charming fiance or the totally unsympathetic *beep* that he could have been written to be. The ending could use some work because I think the two ending scenes are pretty incongruous, but other than that, I really liked it. Not the best movie I have seen, but it was good. OH! And Jake Johnson was fantastic.

I watched it mainly because Reece Thompson is in it. I enjoyed it a lot.

I just watched it because I'm going through Lee Pace's filmography. I liked it too!I kept my expectations low and I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't groundbreaking in most respects but took some turns I liked. Definitely worth a watch for him LP. He had more scenes than I expected and is hilarious and so sexy!

The Good: Also enjoyed Reese Thompson. I laughed out loud a few times and many of the characters seemed like the same cliches' but some how things swerved a different way then they normally do in these movies. (for example: sort of a spoiler: The protagonist became more and more unlikable and the "bad guy" actually had a heart and whit (lol) about him.). I got a Ferris Bueller and Cameron vibe from Sam and Marshall.

The Bad and The ugly: Zoe and Sam kind of made no sense until we got more info later. It made no sense that he was only 23 and behaved like a 43 year old, though immature, man! And Uma Thurman seemed off to me. I kept wondering why she took this part and that was distracting lol. Michael Angarano did a great job, but they did not fit as a unit (for me even though they broke the 4th wall a few times to address that issue!)
