I had to forward it a bit, i just found it boring as hell. I just didn't find it funny at all. It's like they couldn't decide whether to make this movie serious or a comedy...it failed at both. The only funny part was when that one guy trips and blows himself up along with a bunch of goats.

Movie about blowing up innocent people is not funny. How is it funny when that one person trying to help the guy in the TMNT suit gets blown up? Or how the police officers shoot the kebab restaurant worker instead of the actual guy?

A comedy without comedy...nice. Cumberbatch must have been really desperate at the time to join the cast of this shytfest.

It's irony, and as the other posters mentioned, black comedy. If you're into that stuff, this movie is the best comedy of the last 10 years.

How is it funny when someone falls over?

Or when they get hit in the balls?

Or when you point out, quite fairly, that there's no physical confrontations allowed in the war room?

Or when a man drinking milk comments on how, in the heat, milk was a bad choice?

Or acting flippantly about a nuclear accelerator strapped to your back that you have to use to combat giant monster about to destroy millions of dollars of tax-funded infrastructure, just because he's a marshmallow?

Why aren't any of these funny when I flatly explain them with no regard for context, timing or tone? Explain humour to me because my life is a big Two and a Half Men gag, where all the setups have punchlines and all the punchlines have heart!
